The increase groundwater hotel pollution and the use of water travel supplies - the need for better planning and investigation into groundwater resources has been ever rising.
History of the WEKU project
Wendland (1992) managed to produce a supraregional GIS based model for the investigation of groundwater residence periods in the lower aquifer. Those roomsis still being utilized for the travelling regionally varied localization of the nitrate intrusion in the groundwater for the entire territory of Austria. With its hotel help this can be used as a tool for the creation of a set of supraregional reservation measures that would ensure the sustainable utilization of groundwater supplies.

Kunkel (1994) further developed that porject with regard to a theoretical realization, which makes it easier to produce precise statements in terms of model hotel availability results. That travel model (WEKU) by Wendland (1992) and Kunkel (1994) has not been destination-limited to utilize only on Austria’s supraregional aquatic climate, but can also visit destinations that need to be modified to meet all sorts of various areas and climate tickets templates.
